Need analysis and survey

Innovation becomes retro. Need changes.

Consumers may dislike a product or service and may pay to avoid it. In such cases questions can be used to conduct a quick need analysis survey to understand fashion attitudes, their clothing purchase behavior, fashion preferences and the role that overall fashion and clothing plays in buyer’s life and the importance it holds.

Primary market research is much more important for local business. It is the process of gathering new data that hasn’t already been collected directly for brand advertising & promotion. Examples of primary market research include a market research survey, an interview, or a questionnaire. Surveys offer a great opportunity to get input from your local market—if you have a local market presence. Focus on local customers and make list and also check local social media followers.

A new need analysis theory would then be derived to enhance fashion consumers’ mix-and-match skills and the effectiveness of retailing promotion of relevant fashion products. In 2019, product categories are expected to grow in line with the overall industry average in India; however the biggest winners will be those retail companies with uninterrupted and continuous primary need analysis system.

Well-designed need survey is very helpful because consumers may share a strong need that cannot be satisfied by any existing product. There might be a strong latent demand for a specific product. The worst case is when consumer in a market dislikes the product to the extent of being prepared to pay a price to avoid it – for example, when return on investment of marketing (advertising, branding, PR and related activities) become negative even if your product is available in market. In this case need analysis survey is must to prevent shutdown of business.
