Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai is Cannes queen, It’s Mermaid or Butterfly?

After dazzling fashion critics with her Cinderella-like appearance in an ice blue off-shoulder Michael Cinco ball gown last year, the actor stepped out in a gorgeous piece from the same designer this time too, at the 71st edition of Cannes Film Festival.

Covered completely in Swarovski crystals, the ultra-violet gown made Aish look nothing less than a goddess. The sweetheart neck-line and the body-hugging fit accentuated Aish’s enviable figure beautifully. Speaking about the exquisite 20-foot train, the Dubai-based designer said, “It mimics a butterfly emerging from it’s chrysalis.”

“So the butterfly emerges from its chrysalis and metamorphoses into this cape made in the lightest of fine mesh,” said Cinco in a message to Gulf News tabloid! right after their red-carpet outing where they attended the Girls of the Sun movie screening together on May 12.

Aishwarya has posted a new video in which she is seen giving Aaradhya a twirl in slow-mo. While sharing the video Aishwarya captioned it as ‘Circle of Life’. Abhishek Bachchan also commented on the post and wrote ‘mine’ with two hearts. Abhishek  wrote, “Throwback to Cannes in 2007 shortly after our marriage. And now the Mrs. is on Instagram too @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb show the love guys. #MrsB (sic).”

Aishwarya turned heads in a white top and blue skirt which she paired with an orange and pink sequined jacket. She let her hair lose with soft curls. The look was complemented with smoky eyeshadow and pink lip colour. She looked nothing less than a diva in the black pantsuit.
