5 most attractive spots in Firenze YOU MUST VISIT

Florence City View from Piazzale Michelangelo Hill

We took direct train from Venice Grand Canal to Florence SMN. It was a 2-hour journey and one can witness on both side mesmerizing green fields, remote villages and hills of Tuscany region which is most beautiful place in Italy.  Our stay was adjacent to Pizzale Michelangelo. Pizzale Michelangelo, which is a major tourist attraction, situated on hill from where Florence city is visible and especially in night the city lights and its reflection on Arno River look hypnotizing. The hill is perfect place to stay. Many of Florence sights are among Italy’s most iconic places such as Ponte Vecchio, Michelangelo’s David, Brunelleschi’s Dome – and the whole city is perfect model of the Italian Renaissance, the humanist artistic movement that broke Europe out of the Dark Ages. The capital city of Italy’s Tuscany region, Florence is globally admired for its great attentiveness of Renaissance art and style. We listed out must see places and visited most of them on foot.

Tuscany, Italy

Piazza della Repubblica

One of the oldest sections of Florence, the Piazza della Repubblica sits on the site of the city’s Roman forum.  The chronicler Giovanni Villani reports an oral tradition that there was a temple to Mars on or near this site, and writes that Mars was the city’s patron god and so determined the city’s warlike character. The Colonna dell’Abbondanza, a monument built in 1431, marks the exact center of the ancient settlement. It has Neoclassical edifices, premium luxury stores and open-air eateries.

Loggia dei Lanzi

Renaissance art and architecture are on full display at this ceremonial building adjacent to a corner of the Piazza della Signoria. The Rape of the Sabine Women, one of the most attractive sculpture, was an incident in Roman mythology in which the men of Rome committed a mass abduction of young women from the other cities in the region. On the façade of the Loggia, below the parapet, are trefoils with allegorical figures of the four cardinal virtues (Fortitude, Temperance, Justice and Prudence) by Agnolo Gaddi. Benvenuto Cellini’s bronze statue of Perseus holding the head of Medusa is a star attraction.

Santa Croce Church

The world’s largest Franciscan church, Santa Croce is the final resting place for luminaries like Michelangelo, Rossini, Galileo and Dante. The original bell tower built above the apse of the Church fell down in 1512 however by 1800s it was finally completed. There are sixteen family chapels that help compose the Santa Croce Basilica, considered the largest Franciscan church in the world and legend tells us that that Santa Croce was founded by St Francis himself.  No visit to Florence is complete without paying homage to the city’s most famous inhabitants, many of whom are buried within the church nicknamed the Temple of the Italian Glories.

Piazzale Michelangelo

The square, dedicated to the Renaissance sculptor Michelangelo, has bronze copies of some of his marble works found elsewhere in Florence: the David and the four allegories of the Medici Chapel of San Lorenzo. The Piazzale Michelangelo is a large, partly pedestrianized square located across the Arno River from the center of Florence. From the square visitors have a magnificent view over the city. Although you can get a 360-degree panorama of Florence from the dome of the cathedral, only from this terrace can you fully appreciate how Brunelleschi’s dome dominates the city center.

Piazza della Signoria

The impressive 14th-century Palazzo Vecchio is still preeminent with its crenellated tower. Serving over the centuries as an important center for politics and the site of several historic episodes, the Piazza della Signoria is a beautiful square centered among some of the top attractions in Florence. It is here that tourists can visit remarkable places like the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Museum, the Palazzo Uguccioni, the Loggia de Lanzi and the nearby Ponte Vecchio bridge. This broad square has been the center of power in Florence since its 14th-century origins – and perhaps even before, as Etruscan and Roman remains have been found below its pavement.

Booker 2018: The real with the mystical style.

Olga Tokarczuk won Britain’s Man Booker International Prize on Tuesday. Tokarczuk is respected as the most gifted Polish novelist of her generation. She has many bestsellers to her name — including a debatable book about an obscure Jewish messianic sect — and a style that mixes the real with the mystical.

Literary critics in Poland said the prize opens the doors for Tokarczuk’s works into the vast English-language literary world, and that some of her other novels are being translated into English.

“I don’t have a clear biography of my own that I could recount in an interesting way. I’m made up of the characters that I pulled out of my head, that I invented,” Tokarczuk said in an interview with The Polish Book Institute.

“I’m made up of all of them. I have a huge, multi-frame biography.” “I am really lucky that a book I wrote more than 10 years ago is given a new lease on life in a different culture and different language zone and is still seen as relating to the current times,” Tokarczuk said on Poland’s TVN24.

“Polish literature can be interesting to the world. I’m happy to be the trailblazer,” she said.

Tokarczuk’s novel was primary printed in 2007 and was translated last year by Jennifer Croft, who shares the prize.

The prize is a counterpart to the Man Booker Prize for English dialectal novels and is open to books in any language that have been translated into English. The 50,000-pound ($67,000) award is split equally between the novelist and her translator.

Veni, Vidi, Venice! spent a night in Venezia

It took 2 hours from Vaclav Havel Airport Prague to Treviso Airport Venice. There is direct tourist bus service from Treviso Airport to Venezia which take roughly 1 hour. Unfortunately in the middle of the way our bus damaged and we had to wait 20 min and from airport another bus came which took us to Venezia. Once again bad luck, we were very near to our beautiful hotel but could not find it as it was not a building and surrounded in woods. Jolly Camping in Town was very beautiful & 10 min from Venice Canals and hotel provide free bus service in fixed interval to Venice. Though we visited many places, but following are most beautiful.

Grand Canal

The city’s water street snakes from beginning to end the centre of the town from Saint Mark’s Basilica to the Church of Santa Chiara. Lined on both side by Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance construction, the Grand Canal is crossed by four main bridges, the most renowned of which is the 16th-century Rialto Bridge.

Doge’s Palace

The Palazzo Ducale was not just the dwelling of the doge but also the city centre of authority and its directorial hub as well. The structure was constructed in two phases. The eastern wing, which faces the Rio di Palazzo, was built between 1301 and 1340. The western wing, facing the Piazetta San Marco, took an additional 110 years to build and was completed in 1450.

Streets of Burano Island

Burano is in general less packed than Murano. And with its nearly cartoon-like brilliantly colored buildings, it makes the ideal milieu for a leisurely walk. Sincerely, the colours are so luminous and jovial that we were roaming around in this region of Burano for whole day.

Rialto Bridge

It is one of the world’s most illustrious bridges and the world’s most beautiful stone bridges. The Rialto, the oldest of four bridges of the Grand Canal in Venice, was completed in 1591, replacing a wooden bridge that collapsed in 1524. The gorgeous old bridge is one of the icons of Venice and is for all time full with thrilled sightseers.

Rialto Market

This primordial marketplace dates back to the 11th century. At present the market is situated on the bank of the Grand Canal, not far from the Rialto Bridge. The markets along with the bridge are one of the most admired tourist attractions in Venice.

Jewish Ghetto, Venice

Shakespear’s ‘Merchant of Venice’ is based on this place and it has the Jewish Museum: Museo Communità Ebraica. The Jewish Ghetto is a region of Venice where all Jews were forced to live from the 16th till the 18th Century.  This was in fact attention-grabbing region of Venice with lots of significant untold stories to tell.  You can still find a Jewish area living at this time, and lots of small restaurants and bakeriesthat sell Jewish specialities.

Venice Gondola & Cruise

Many times a day we took cruise down the Grand Canal in Venice to enjoy the charm and characteristics of all the buildings lining the canal.  It was mesmerizing to watch all the other boats and Gondolas come and go, structures and lights’ reflection in canal water. It was most interesting activity as well as unavoidable thing in Venice.

St. Mark’s Basilica

Certainly Venice’s most illustrious basilica and one of the most striking in the world, St. Mark’s Basilica or Basilica di San Marco was formerly the Doge’s personal chapel, highlighted with Byzantine fine art riches that are pieces of the treasure brought back by Venetian vessels after the fall of Constantinople. The gold backed mosaic pictures near the doorways on the façade just hint at the mosaic artistic quality contained by, where 4,240 square meters of gold mosaics cover the domes and walls.

St. Mark’s Square

Three sides are bordered in arcades, underneath which are stylish shops and even more stylish coffee bars. The unlock end is bookmarked by the unpredictable, mysterious camber, whirl, mosaics, and lacy stone filigree of St. Mark’s Basilica. Above it towers the brick shaft of the campanile. For overviews of this busy piazza, you can go to its top or to the top of the Torre dell’Orologio, where a pair of “Moors” strikes the hour.

Immigrants and Fashion In India

Jews, Persian, Zoroastrians, Tibet and Afghan people escaped and settled in India to avoid persecution and killing, and in different era inspired and influenced Indian fashion industry gradually. India was always the safe zone for whole world. By 12th centuries India was richest country along with China. After 12th centuries, religious pickpockets & thieves whip tiara and started siphoning resources out from country to Middle East and then from 1700 to 1947 to EU. Mughals, rapists came from Mangolia (bordering Russia China), robbed, looted and raped so veil or face covering become fashion. And British took blouse fashion, before that Indian women did not wear blouse. Mainly following four have inspired and influence fashion positively by there contribution and healthy culture, let’s examine. Now Immigrants word is not at all fit for them, They are absolute patriotic Indian citizen.

Jewish People & Indian Fashion

The Jewish-Indian stars – Sulochana, Pramila, Nadira, and Uncle David – were in some of the biggest films Bollywood has ever known and Bollywood has greatest influence on Indian Fashion. Due to foreign invasion, Indian women exposure was subdued and so Jews actress were at top in Bollywood. The Jewish community of India is the fourth largest Asian Jewish community after Israel, Asian Russia, and Iran. Marco Polo traveled through India in the year 1293, he recorded a surprising encounter in his diaries about meeting Jews there who’d developed a thriving community on India’s south western coast. The Bene Israel is probably descendants of the 10 Lost Tribes of Israel who fled northern Israel in 721 BCE to avoid killing by Assyrian. There are three main Jews sects In India west coast Bombay, east cost Kolkata and south coast Cochin. They have different fashion and dressing pattern which is influenced by local culture.

Indian stamp issued in 2013 in honor of Sulochana (Ruby Meyers). She was a Bagdadi Jew from Poona.

Zoroastrian (11th C.CE) and Irani (17th C.CE) People & Indian Fashion

They have been provided environment to lead Indian film industry, Atomic & Nuclear Research, Army, Business and Judiciary & as expected from them, this community has made India proud always. According to Zoroastrian legend (see Qissa-i Sanjan), Sassanid Empire slaughtered Zoroastrian people and they migrated to India for safety. During Iran’s Qajar era (1794–1925) when killing & persecution of non-terrorists was he only daily routine job of terrorists and by which time the Indian Zoroastrians had established special funds to assist their Iranian co-religionists. The descendants of these newer immigrants are known as Iranis. Many Models and Actress of this community work in fashion and film industry in India.

Tibet People & Indian Fashion

It is completely mingled so much that it is hard to distinguish fashion & style in Leh, Himachal, Uttrankhand and north east state. Following in the footsteps of the 14th Dalai Lama more than 150,000 Tibetan refugees have fled to India during the past 60 years. He left with his initial entourage following the abortive 1959 Tibetan uprising. He was followed by about 80,000 Tibetan refugees.  The Tibetan Diaspora maintains a government in exile in Himachal Pradesh, which coordinates political activities for Tibetans in India.  Not in whole country, but in these Tibet bordering states, Tibet fashion and Indian fashion is same thing.

Afghan People & Indian Fashion

Primarily Salwar suit and Banzara Gown/Suit for women and Pathan suit for men is popular in whole country. More than 60,000 Afghan refugees came to India in the years following the 1979 to 1989 Soviet–Afghan War. The Indian government does not officially recognise them as refugees, but has allowed the UNHCR India to operate a programme for them. As in past Kandhar ( Afghanistan) was part of India, there was already fashion influence by and upon India / Afghanistan. Almost all Bollywood super starts wear Afghanistan Pathan Suit on screen and in real life too. The Salwar Suit and Pathan Suit has so many pattern now that It become an Indian common dress now.

Shakira & Rihanna

The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Procedure ISAPS report ranked most plastic surgery-getting countries as below –

  1. The United States
  2. Brazil
  3. Japan
  4. Italy
  5. Mexico

The U.S. had approximately 4 million total plastic surgery procedures in Year 2016, whereas Brazil moderately followed at 2.5 million. A lot of less confident people of above 5 countries were, are and will be getting all kinds of plastic surgery. Additionally According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in the year 2014, there were 15.6 million cosmetic procedures done in the United States, which is an increase of 3 percent since 2013.

Cosmetics Sales in 2012, Per Capita Data & Currency Value can have major impact on calculation

Below are the 15 countries that exported the highest dollar value worth of beauty cosmetics and skincare products during 2016:

  1. France: US$7.3 billion (17.3% of total beauty/skin care exports)
  2. United States: $4.7 billion (11.3%)
  3. South Korea: $3.4 billion (8.2%)
  4. Germany: $3.2 billion (7.6%)
  5. Singapore: $2.8 billion (6.7%)

Big Brands are from UK & EU mainly.

One more study was done by InStyle. The statistics appears aligned with the results of investigation that imply that almost half of American women feel unattractive when they aren’t wearing any makeup. In a British survey conducted in March approximately 91 percent of ladies participated said they would preferably cancel a first date than attending it without doing any makeup on, and 31 percent said they wouldn’t even go to the gym bare-faced. This InStyle study teaches us a lot about self confidence and natural beauty.

Prediction is more perilous for low budget buyers & low income group because positioning of natural beauty and propaganda of artificial beauty will not end early. As per Nicolos Micallef, Euromonitor International’s 2017 edition reveals a strong beauty and personal care industry in 2016, with a respectable 5% growth. For the second consecutive year, the premium segment outperformed its mass counterpart, with nearly 6% growth.

Britain’s first mixed-race royal Wedding, Queen Charlotte, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Royal Cars

As most Charlotteans know, Queen Charlotte was the first “mixed race” member of the royal family, having been of African descent. Charlotte, by the way, was queen when English settlers incorporated the city of Charlotte in 1768. Charlotte was born on May 19, 1744, as the youngest daughter of Duke Carl Ludwig Friedrich of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Princess Elisabeth Albertine of Saxe-Hildburghausen. A German princess already, she was 17 when she traveled to England to marry King George III.

Ever since 12-year-old Prince Harry walked behind his mother’s coffin in 1997, head bowed, the British has been able to let off him for just about anything. When reports of his looming operation to Iraq leaked out, he was perhaps told it was excessively precarious for him to survive, and he was asked to stay at home. Harry was angry and demanded to leave the army unless he could obtain to the front line operation. This led to a covert contract with the press and, in 2008, he fought the Taliban in the badlands of Afghanistan.

Royal family’s is fond of royal cars and so Meghan Markle will be also be come in royal vehicle. The whole carriage assortment at the majestic family’s kingdom parked in close proximity to Sandringham, England, is valued nearly 10 million British pounds according to a 2016 report from Car Keys. Possibly the most precious carriage is a 1900 Daimler Phaeton, the foremost royal car. The majestic kin is furthermore said to possess a assortment of classic Jaguar, Bentley and Rolls Royce models.

Ms Marvel Priyanka Chopra, Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle, Comparison between Hollywood and Bollywood and Next IIFA 2018

She’ll be seen in Hollywood films include A Kid Like Jake and Isn’t It Romantic and probably in next avenger series. Marvel’s series, ‘Avengers: Infiniti War’ is currently breaking a lot of records at the box office. Priyanka can be in next avenger series. The makers are currently setting up a new collection of movies surrounding fresh Marvel characters, including Ms Marvel Priyanka Chopra (probably). Nevertheless globally people want Priyanka Chopra to be the Ms Marvel character as Priyanka already has a history with the character. She voiced Ms Marvel’s character in a Marvel mobile video game. Though its too early to say anything at this stage.

The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take place on May 19. Priyanka Chopra, who is a close friend of Meghan, will be attending the wedding but is not on the list of bridesmaids. Meghan and Priyanka met at an ELLE Women in TV dinner in January 2016 and instantaneously ‘bonded as actors’. Meghan was soon boasting to reporters about their friendship, telling PTI: ‘I would love to work with [Priyanka] on a film one day!

“There are many stories that reflect the realities of the world we live in and I believe it’s very important to showcase them and bring that message to more people in a way that they can connect with. Paani is one such story and we’re looking forward to working with Adinath,” Priyanka told Bollywood Hungama. She twitted “This is what I had envisioned when starting Purple Pebble Pictures – a platform for good stories and new talent. Paani is special because it’s based on a true story and deals with a very topical issue. Welcome aboard Adinath Kothare and team. Let’s create something special together.”

“I don’t think we need to learn anything from each other. I think we need to conform according to what’s required for the people who’re working in the industry within that country. If you’re talking about pay parity and [sexual] harassment… [then] for example, [the lack of] pay parity happens in both countries, but the difference is that I see in Bollywood it’s said more blatantly, but [in Hollywood] it’ll be said in a more roundabout way, because nobody wants the liability or the responsibility that they’re saying this,” says Priyanka.

“We need to focus on ourselves and not somebody else. We need to look inside our own house and decide what we want to clean up. [We should] give opportunities to women, be it in entertainment or in education, or in any field they want to be. How do we give them opportunities and make them thrive? The Commonwealth Games are such amazing examples. Most of the medals are won by women. You give women opportunities and they’ll thrive. Whether it’s Hollywood or our Hindi film industry, I think we need to focus on ourselves, instead of comparing ourselves with someone else,” she says.

In recent interview Wmagazine asked, What’s the best and worst comment you’ve read on your social media accounts? As you’ll see me say in the new Pantene #GoGentle campaign, the best was when I read “My daughter says her two heroes are Michelle Obama and Priyanka Chopra.” Sai Priyanka.

Recently Priyanka shared a picture of herself soaking up the LA sun in a smoking hot red monokini that is making many hearts skip a heartbeat.  The IIFA awards is one of the main awards shows in the Bollywood. There is a murmur that the show will be held in Bangkok on a luxurious extent as accustomed and the event will see a bevy of Hollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra.

The Twilight star is true rebel

Cannes 2018 Red Carpet & Twilight Star Kristen Stewart

She, true to form, rebelled against what society expects of her. In this case, it’s the film festival’s somewhat archaic belief that it’s impossible to look polished unless you’re teetering around in stilettos. The ‘Twillight’ star, however, was applauded by the Twitterverse for her act of rebellion.

Last year, during a roundtable conversation at the event, Stewart had reportedly said, “Things have to change immediately. It’s just like you simply cannot ask me to do something that you are not asking him [to do]. I get the black-tie thing but you should be able to do either version–flats or heels.”

Twilight Star Kristen Stewart walked with heels in hand on Cannes 2018 Red Carpet

It’s unclear if the actress and competition jury member was protesting the rumored high heel rule, but it still made for a rare sight on a Cannes red carpet. Stewart has been a presence at the film festival for years. She attended the annual event in 2012 in support of her film On The Road. The actress returned two years later with Clouds of Sils Maria. And in 2016, Stewart walked the red carpet for both her movies Cafe Society and Personal Shopper.

Flanked by jury members Cate Blanchett, Kristen Stewart, Lea Seydoux and Ava DuVernay, Cannes Film Festival artistic director Thierry Fremaux signed a pledge Monday to increase transparency and promote gender equality during a midday ceremony.

A string of pearls on her eyes was looking surprising. The pearl-lined eye wasn’t the single attraction as her hairstylist sneaking a rattail into Stewart’s astonishing and impressive hairstyles right through the festival.
