Greatest Stylist of Bollywood is an Engineer

Bachelor in Technology in Instrumentation, Ex TCS Software Engineer is stylist for most creative movies characters such as Padmaavat, Rangoon, Bajirav Mastani, Hawaizaada, Haider, Revolver Rani, Mom and coming 102 not out & Bala Saheb Thakare, Atharvaa’s  Boomerang.

Preetisheel Singh has done it again with the looks of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor in Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out. Make-up artiste Preetisheel Singh, who had transformed Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s look in ‘Mom’ , has once again worked on the actor’s get-up for him to suit the lead role in ‘Thackeray’, a biopic on late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.

Preetisheel Singh started her B.Tech in Instrumentation and Electronics at the Adesh Institute of Engineering and Technology in Faridkot Punjab. Nevertheless at that time leaving her degree to be a make-up artist was not logical and therefore she went ahead in the field of technology. Her company, IT Company (TCS) sent her to The United States for three years. In US Preetisheel Singh took up a makeup and prosthetics course from Los Angeles.

The film 102 Not Out is an adaptation of a successful Gujarati play of the same name and explores the relationship between a parent and a child. In the movie, Amitabh is a 102-year-old man and Rishi Kapoor plays his adorable 75-year-old son. Her job became even more demanding when she had to work on looks and references to them playing father and son. “Creating that age disparity was a task, but it gives me great satisfaction that the makers and actors are happy with the outcome,” she added.

After garnering acclaim for her work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat where she designed the looks for the complete cast along with Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, she went on to win the Power Brands – Bollywood Film Journalists Award too.

The prosthetic makeup artists behind films like Padmavaat and 102 Not Out Preetisheel Singh and Mark Troy D’Souza have been brought on board for Atharvaa’s upcoming film Boomerang. Helmed by R Kannan, the film will see Atharvaa sport three different looks in the film.
